Kick Off Table:

– Flight of the Valkyrie: The Valkyrie have come to carry the valiant to the halls of Valhalla!! If a player is killed or injured, roll 1D6: 1-4 Nothing happens; 5 The player’s actions are noteworthy, place them in the Knocked-Out Box; On a 6 the player has truly distinguished themselves; They are carried off to Valhalla! This player will not re-enter the game… but they truly inspire your team!! Gain a free re-roll!

– Hounds of Morki: One player is hallucinating and thinks they are being chased by the Hounds of Morkai! Roll 1D6 adding assistant coaches to see which team is affected.  The winner then rolls randomly for one player being fielded on that team. That player gains the “Sprint” skill for the rest of the drive!

– Beer Boar: A random fan has loosed a Beer Boar on the pitch! Determine where it enters by rolling per regular sideline throw-in rules. Start in the square adjacent to the half-pitch line on the kicking team’s side (left or right) determined by a D2 roll. After the boar is on the pitch, each coach prior to starting his/her turn, moves the beer boar up to D6 spaces using the Scatter template and a D8. At the end of the turn, any knocked down players within 4 spaces of the beer boar may stand up on the roll of a natural 5-6!

– Hofgothi “Priestly” Speed: The Nordic Priests have blessed your receiver! One open player on the receiving team may be moved any number of squares, regardless of their MA, and placed in the same square the ball will land in.

– Odin’s Favor: Odin is smiling upon you! Both Coaches roll a D6 and add the number of cheerleaders and assistant coaches on their Team Draft list. The coach with the highest total immediately gains an Extra Team Training Re-Roll. In the case of a tie, both coaches gain a re-roll.

– Thor’s Lightening: Thor is enjoying the match and can’t help but offer a little assistance! A lightning bolt flashes out of the sky affecting the kick-off! Should the kicking coach desire, he or she can roll for scatter on the ball one additional time.

– Norseman's Delight: A delicious Scandinavian treat are Æbleskivers! Each coach rolls 1D6 adding any cheerleaders.  The winner rolls for a randomly selected player on their team. That player can ignore one “knock-out” result once during the next drive.

– Beer Maiden: Where there are Norse there is ale! A beer maiden, appears out of the alehouse to assist you! Before the drive begins, if either player has any players that failed to come in on their knocked out roll, each coach may choose one player to immediately re-roll the result adding +1 to the die-roll.  On a successful roll, that player rejoins your team on the pitch following the normal kick-off setup rules. If you already have eleven players on the field, simply exchange this player for another that is not currently fielded on the line. If the beer maiden finds no one to assist, she returns to the ale house.

– Berserker’s Rage: One of the players becomes incensed and goes into a berserker rage! Roll 1D6 adding assistant coaches to the roll. The winner rolls randomley for one player on their team to gain +1 strength but now only move four (4) spaces. Once this player hits someone and knocks them down, or if the drive ends (whichever comes first) they return to their senses and play as normal.

- Whimsy of the Nordic Gods: Re-roll on the kick-off table. Then roll a D6. On a 1-3 apply the result to your team, on a 4-6 apply the result to your opponent’s team!

– Jörmungandr: The Nordic Midgard Serpent has buried itself underneath the stadium! Players must be careful of their movement! At the beginning of each turn roll a D6, on the roll of a 6 the Jörmungandr senses your movement. Roll for a randomly selected player.  That player ceases to move for fear of being eaten and becomes “rooted” in place for the rest of the drive! (Stunty and titchy players are too tiny to be noticed—reroll the result!) After a player becomes rooted, the Jörmungandr loses interest and goes elsewhere to search for a meal.
